Choose by the run you actually repeat

If the vehicle fills while useful loot remains, weight capacity is the limiting factor. If it returns mostly empty but the drive is long, route length and speed matter more. Tight turns and frequent stops make handling and acceleration relevant. A faster model does not automatically solve a cargo limit; compare the displayed Vehicle Weight rather than an invented universal chassis ranking.

Where vehicles and hauling upgrades come from

The beginner video identifies the Auto Dealership as the source of regular vehicles. The newer community vehicle guide distinguishes default dealership stock, rotating featured models and event vehicles. It identifies the Car Garage for parts and wheel sets, and Trailer Shop for additional hauling options. Confirm the currently displayed model and requirements before spending; event availability and featured rotation can change.

Compare the before and after stats

At vehicle customization, open Parts and inspect the relevant part or Wheel Sets category. Read the speed, acceleration and weight changes shown for your own setup before equipping. Use a familiar route to compare travel and extra trips. A spare part is not guaranteed to improve every stat, and this guide does not assign undocumented capacities or purchase prices.

Trailers and spare-part clues

The August community guide names Tractor and Train as vehicles with fixed trailers, and reports that an additional configurable trailer can be attached through the Trailer Shop. Compare the active capacity and compatibility on your current model. It describes Spare Part Boxes as having a black-and-white checkered base: green boxes correspond to Back Alley and blue boxes to Shipyard. Parts may also come from auctions. For wheel-set collection work, check the relevant Farmyard, Back Alley or Shipyard collection entries, then return to customization → Parts → Wheel Sets and compare the displayed changes. These are source-reported routes, not guaranteed drops or a full location map.

Three different problems, three different choices

Repeated extra collection trips → investigate capacity or a compatible trailer. Slow long-distance travel with spare cargo space → compare speed and shorten the route to your plot. Difficult positioning during Lost Item roof jumps → prioritize controllable handling and use the named approach in the collection guide. The current guide lists Rusty Truck as ordinary stock and Prehistoric Car as an event example; that is an availability distinction, not a performance ranking.

Leave money for the auction after buying transport

A better vehicle cannot earn if the purchase leaves no bidding cash. Compare the upgrade price with your available reserve and the concrete trips it would remove. There is no promised payback period here, and the old video count of ten vehicles is not published as a current total.
